Kabbalah Student, Teacher, Dedicated to Revealing Light
Tonight, Billy's soul ascends higher. For 24 hours, the gates of connection are wide open. This page is a living memorial — 27 teachings, curated videos, and his life's work carried forward through the 137 NGO courses. Billy is not past tense. His wisdom lives on. It's up to us.
Billy’s one-year Hilulah (yahrzeit—death anniversary) in the Hebrew calendar begins Monday, April 13th after sundown, and continues until Tuesday, April 14th at sundown.
Billy will feel more present and even closer as his soul ascends to a higher level, entering deeper into the spiritual world of truth, clarity, and Light.
According to the teachings of the Ari, this marks a significant completion of the soul’s first stage of ascent, where it comes to a place of greater peace and love.
Knowing my husband, he will be able to connect to, and impact the unfolding of Light in this world to an even greater degree.

A Son Speaks
This Is What Billy Built
From David Phillips, Billy's firstborn son, tonight as the Hilulah begins.
Last night, David was putting his baby daughter Ava to bed. He had just taught her to brush her teeth for the first time. She was beaming, laughing, so proud of herself. Then, sitting in the dark as she fell asleep, David was hit with a wave of emotion.
I started missing my dad deeply. I wished he was here — he would be going crazy for Ava right now.
But then I started appreciating. Look at the family I have. Look at what my dad instilled in us.
I don't have one regret for my life with my dad. I wouldn't change one word — not the good, not the bad, not the fights, not the intensity. Every single thing brought me to where I am today. The love I have for him is something I never knew I could feel.
It can be very painful. But I'm honored to feel that pain. I'm honored to be his son.

The Power of 137 — The Number That Unites Physics and Kabbalah
Billy's Words
There is one number that has haunted physicists for a century. One number that every great mind — Einstein, Feynman, Pauli, Heisenberg — has tried, and failed, to explain. That number is 137.
Richard Feynman, the Nobel-winning physicist, called it “one of the greatest damn mysteries of physics — a magic number that comes to us with no understanding by man.” Wolfgang Pauli — one of the fathers of quantum mechanics — was so obsessed with 137 that when he was dying in a Zurich hospital, he asked, “What is the number of my room?” The nurse answered: “137.” Pauli said, “I will never leave this room alive.” He didn’t.
Why 137? Because 137 is the fine-structure constant — the precise number that governs how light interacts with matter. If this number were even slightly different, atoms could not form. Stars could not shine. Life could not exist. This one number is, quite literally, the dial that was set for creation.
And here is the secret that physicists do not know: in the language of Kabbalah, the Hebrew word קבלה (Kabbalah) has a gematria of exactly 137. The word “Kabbalah” means to receive — to receive the Light. The same number that tells physicists how light interacts with matter is the same number Kabbalists have used for two thousand years to name the wisdom of how Light enters our lives.
The Zohar was written over two thousand years ago — long before quantum physics — and yet the Kabbalists encoded this number into the very name of their wisdom. Because the Zohar is a technology: a technology to tune our consciousness to the frequency of Light. 137 is the code. The Zohar is the manual.
This is why I founded the 137 NGO. Not because the number is cute. Not because it’s mystical. But because 137 is the literal bridge between the laboratory and the soul. Physics shaking hands with the Zohar. Einstein tipping his hat to Rav Shimon bar Yochai across two thousand years. Proof — for anyone willing to look — that science and spirit were never separate to begin with.
We have the greatest gift the universe ever gave humanity. The Zohar. The wisdom of Kabbalah. And the number 137 is written on the front door so no one can miss it.
Why This Matters
Without 137, nothing else in Billy’s teaching makes sense. This is the bedrock. Every post in this memorial, every course Billy ever taught, every lecture he gave at NASA, begins and ends with this one insight: the deepest secret of the physical universe and the deepest secret of Kabbalah are the same secret, encoded in the same number. Billy’s life mission — the 137 NGO, the free Zohar distribution, the thousands of videos and blog posts — all of it exists to deliver this one message to the world.
Marianne's Reflection
The number 137 has become the primary sign we associate with Billy—so much so that our nonprofit is called OneThirtySeven.org. Whenever my children, or those who were close to Billy, see this number, they immediately point it out as a reminder that his essence—his presence—is still here.
In fact, Billy himself often spoke about communicating with the Rav after his passing, and receiving the number 137 as a response to his questions and conversations. Over time, this number has come to represent a deeper connection—one that continues to reveal itself in meaningful and personal ways.
Sit with this for one minute: the number that tells physicists why atoms exist is the same number that names the wisdom of Kabbalah. Let that collapse the imaginary wall between “science” and “spirit” in your mind. Where in your own life have you been keeping those two worlds separate? Write one sentence: what changes when you see them as the same thing?
ACT
Visit onethirtyseven.org — Billy’s NGO — and do one of three things today: watch one free lecture, download a Zohar, or share the site with one person curious about the intersection of science and spirituality. Participating in his mission is the most direct way to keep it alive.
SHARE
Post the number 137 on your social feed — just the number, plus one sentence: “The fine-structure constant in physics. The gematria of Kabbalah in Hebrew. The same number. In memory of Billy Phillips, who devoted his life to this bridge.” Tag the 137 NGO.

Immortality and the Relentless Power of the Opponent
Billy's Words
We are literally submerged in a sea of "satan," an ocean of ego—relentless self-interest, rage, fear, and doubt. No matter how many times we push away the influence, there is an endless amount of negativity, ego, selfish, reactive impulses and triggers that are drowning us. The word "satan" literally means opponent—a negative opposing force of consciousness that wages war against our happiness and peace of mind, all day long. The key is to SEE its negative influence, understand its purpose and recognize it and then, not react to it! Each time we react to ego, a portion of death accumulates in our bodies, contributing to aging. When sufficient people eliminate egocentric reactions collectively, immortal existence will dawn as death drowns in a sea of Light.
Why This Matters
This post encapsulates Billy's life mission: making people aware that the ego is the root of ALL suffering—physical, emotional, and spiritual. He taught that awareness alone is transformative. Recognizing the "opponent" within us is the first step toward freedom from pain, aging, and ultimately, death itself.
Marianne's Reflection
Billy would often tell our kids and myself, sometimes during heated conversations, that all we must do is recognize our reaction....and then the Light will take care of the rest for us. To point out our own 'garbage' is 99 % of the battle. This made the enormous and almost impossible feat of overcoming our ego, doable.
Set three alarms today labeled "Who's talking?" At each alarm, pause and ask: is this impulse—this frustration, craving, or doubt—coming from my soul or from my opponent? Write down what you notice.
ACT
Choose one reactive trigger you know you'll face today (traffic, a difficult coworker, a family pattern). When it arrives, consciously pause for 5 seconds before responding. That pause is the space between ego and soul.
SHARE
Tell one person today about the concept of the "opponent"—that the voice pushing us toward anger, fear, and doubt is not who we truly are. Share it in your own words, from your own experience.

The Tears of Certainty
Billy's Words
A father sought the Baal Shem Tov to save his dying child. The great Kabbalist ascended to the Upper Worlds but discovered heaven's gates were locked—nothing could be done. Instead of gathering holy men, he instructed his assistant to gather ten thieves. The child recovered overnight. When asked why thieves, the Kabbalist replied: "This time, I had ten thieves with me. They picked the lock and we broke into heaven." Another Kabbalist, unable to save a dying child through prayers, rode after the devastated father—not with good news, but with his own tears and companionship in shared grief. Sometimes teachers and students are called to perform the most difficult act: crying together, holding broken hearts, and offering emotional support when miracles cannot come. This act of shared compassion—of certainty in love despite uncertainty in outcomes—diminishes doubt and moves the world toward ultimate redemption.
Why This Matters
Billy rarely showed vulnerability publicly, but this post reveals the depth of his compassion. He understood that Kabbalah isn't just about miracles—it's about being human, being present, and holding space for others in their darkest moments. This is perhaps the most emotionally powerful piece he ever wrote.
Marianne's Reflection
Once again, Billy made the difficult task of navigating life, simple. This teaching makes me remember the many times that Billy impressed upon us that life and revealing Light is not about doing all the mitzvot, but rather they are tools to give us the strength and clarity to simply 'love thy neighbour as oneself'. Everything we do is for the sole purpose of treating anyone and everyone with human dignity. Nothing more.
Think of someone in your life who is hurting right now. Instead of trying to fix their problem or offer advice, reach out and simply say: "I'm here. I see you." Sometimes presence is the greatest miracle.
ACT
Write down a moment when someone held space for you during a painful time. How did that act of compassion change something inside you? Carry that memory with you today as fuel for how you show up for others.

Hating the Rav: A Zohar Rant
Billy's Words
The love is here. The blessings are here. But ego blocks their manifestation like a blackout curtain blocking out the sun. Rav Berg once sat me in a bathroom for three hours repeating, "You hate me!" I defended my love for the Rav, insisting I didn't hate him. Finally, after three hours, I admitted my ego's hatred. Only then did the Rav smile and say he loved me. We are not here to preach to others to share the Zohar. Instead, each time we remove our own ego, that bit of Light inspires another person. The Zohar spreads in direct proportion to the amount of transformation people have made.
Why This Matters
This deeply personal story captures Billy's raw honesty about his own spiritual journey. It shows the relationship between student and teacher in Kabbalah—uncompromising, confronting, and ultimately liberating. The lesson is universal: our ego hides behind our "love" and only honest self-confrontation can reveal it.
Marianne's Reflection
I remember this day all to well. As I sat in the hallway, outside of the bathroom, all I could hear is the Rav shouting at Billy. I cried. I was in shock. And I was in awe at the unending love that the Rav had for Billy. I know this sounds crazy but the deep lesson about how the ego works affected Billy from this day forward, and gave him this unlimited strength he had throughout the rest of his life. A strength to 'out' is ego every chance he got.
Sit quietly and ask yourself: where in my life am I defending my "love" while my ego is secretly running the show? Think about a relationship where you say all the right words but your actions tell a different story.
ACT
Find one area today where you are doing something "spiritual" or "good" for the recognition, not for the transformation. Admit it—out loud if possible. That admission IS the transformation Billy is talking about.

Frightening and Liberating
Billy's Words
The Zohar described our universe as "waves" long before modern physics confirmed wave-particle duality. All of existence is made up of Energy. The physical world is the daughter of the waves. These energy waves represent Divine Consciousness—the very mind of God. The underlying thought is singular: imparting pleasure to creation. Our consciousness literally creates our personal reality and destiny. We are not victims but architects of our spiritual fate through daily choices between ego-based and soul-based living. It's up to us and only us. God provides energy but cannot interfere with free will.
Why This Matters
Billy had a gift for bridging science and spirituality. This post demolishes the victim mentality that keeps people stuck. His message—that we create our own reality through consciousness—is both terrifying and empowering, exactly as the title suggests.
Marianne's Reflection
This lesson that Billy shared is what has allowed me to connect to him on a daily basis. The scientific fact that thoughts create reality is the reason why I have been able to communicate with my beloved, using the intentions in my thoughts and the love in my heart. (This is actually his love-language). It is as if Billy has prepared me for this day.
Write down three things in your current life that you blame on external circumstances (health, finances, relationships). Now reframe each one: "What consciousness did I bring to this situation that helped create this reality?"
ACT
For the next 24 hours, catch every time you say or think "I can't help it" or "it's not my fault." Replace it with: "What part of this is mine to own?" This is the shift from victim to architect.

Share this idea with someone today: "Our consciousness literally creates our reality." Don't argue or convince—just plant the seed and let them sit with it.

Parting the Sea of Chaos
Billy's Words
Imagine being underwater and trying to dry yourself off. No matter how much water you brush away, you're still covered in wet, salty seawater. The Kabbalists revealed that we are literally submerged in a sea of "satan"—endless negativity, ego, and reactive impulses. The story of the parting of the Red Sea is really just a code for the parting of the Sea of Chaos and Reactive impulses that flood our being. The 72 Names of God are the technology enabling this spiritual transformation. The Bible is not a history book. The Bible is not a religious text. It's a technology to elevate, raise and evolve our consciousness.
Why This Matters
Billy's ability to decode ancient stories into practical spiritual tools was unmatched. This post reframes the entire Bible from a religious artifact into living technology. The underwater metaphor is quintessential Billy—simple, vivid, unforgettable.
Marianne's Reflection
Many times, Billy would explain this to our kids, as they matured in life and as they went through life's 'situations' if you will. This concept of being covered in ego gave all of us a chance at overcoming small bits of our own ego, by removing the guilt one would naturally feel when f....ing up. Billy always said, "Don't feel guilty!" Guilt is a construct of the Satan himself.
Billy said we're "underwater trying to dry off." Where in your life are you using the same reactive patterns to solve problems that those patterns created? Write down one cycle you keep repeating.
ACT
Pick one Biblical story you've always taken literally. Spend 10 minutes exploring what it might mean as a code for consciousness. The Red Sea = the sea of reactive impulses. What does YOUR personal Red Sea look like?

Corona Consciousness
Billy's Words
Consciousness creates reality. The actual plague affecting humanity isn't physical but internal: Our ego. Our reactions. Fear and doubt are manufactured by an internal "Opponent." Negative consciousness produces judgment while personal transformation yields mercy. Great Miracles are the true reality. It's up to us. Acknowledge the ego. Practice uncomfortable acts of sharing. Cultivate certainty.
Why This Matters
Written at the onset of the pandemic, this post showed Billy's refusal to succumb to collective fear. While the world panicked, he reminded everyone that consciousness—not circumstances—determines our experience. His call to practice "uncomfortable acts of sharing" during a time of isolation was prophetic.
Marianne's Reflection
This is my life-saver! Simply by performing small acts of sharing, I am revealing Light. And why do I care if I am revealing Light. I have realized that it is this Light that makes me feel happy, peaceful, full of love, especially during difficult times. Not only that- what a technique!!! To do something outside of my comfort zone creates a miracle. And to know that miracles should be the norm is how I want to live life. This is true bliss.
What are you afraid of right now—truly afraid of? Write it down. Now ask: is this fear based on something real, or is my "opponent" manufacturing it to keep me small and reactive?
ACT
Do one "uncomfortable act of sharing" today, as Billy urged. Give something away that costs you—time, money, attention, or pride. Make it uncomfortable enough that your ego protests.
SHARE
The next time someone shares fearful news with you, respond not with agreement or argument, but with certainty: "Great miracles are the true reality." Watch how it shifts the energy of the conversation.

Everything You Wanted to Know About Life
Billy's Words
The quest for truth is the most difficult path in life. It requires almost super-human courage to embrace truth once discovered. People seek facts supporting existing beliefs rather than genuine truth. We have total belief in our doubts but doubt our beliefs. Small infractions of ego are the most dangerous because they accumulate unnoticed. Small ego actions allow the Opponent access, leading to full-blown ugly acts of ego. The Opponent first convinces us to commit small acts so we don't catch onto him, after which he gains control.
Why This Matters
This bite-sized wisdom captures the essence of Billy's teaching style. The observation that "we have certainty in our doubts but doubt our certainty" is a devastating insight into human nature. His warning about small ego infractions being the most dangerous is practical wisdom everyone can apply daily.
Marianne's Reflection
This quest for truth that Billy speaks about was my most difficult task to date. Only after Billy passed was I able to start this process. During my life with Billy, I did pretty much anything to avoid looking inside, to find my truth. It was too scary and too painful. I avoided it at all costs. This built up inside of me, to the point that when he left this physical world, not only did I feel alone, but I didn't even have 'me' as a support. I had no idea who I was. Thank you Billy for connecting me to this path. The world I am discovering is more beautiful than I could ever have imagined. And it has become my truth!
Billy said "we have perfect certainty in our doubts." Write down three things you're absolutely certain will go wrong. Now flip them: what if you gave that same certainty to things going right?
ACT
Catch three "small infractions" of ego today—the tiny ones Billy warned are most dangerous. A small lie, a subtle judgment, a moment of taking credit. Write each one down. Awareness of the small is the shield against the big.

POST 9 of 27January 22, 2015

The Power and Secret of Amen
Billy's Words
"Amen" is one of humanity's most recited words, used across Christianity, Islam, and Judaism for millennia. The Zohar teaches: "He who answers Amen is greater and more valuable than he who makes the blessings." The Tetragrammaton (value 26) represents the 99% spiritual reality. Adonai (value 65) represents the 1% physical reality. Amen (value 91) is the unifying element: 26 + 65 = 91. Prayers are cables and wires drawing spiritual current. Amen functions as the power switch that activates this connection in physical life.
Why This Matters
Billy had the rare ability to take something everyone says mindlessly—"Amen"—and reveal its hidden technology. This post demonstrates how Kabbalah unifies all religions at their mystical root, a theme Billy championed throughout his life.
Marianne's Reflection
So many times, I will partake in a connection at the Kabbalah Centre, and have no idea what is being said during the prayers. Really, I will have no idea of what I am doing there at times. But knowing that simply saying 'Amen' at the end of a prayer connects me to all the Light being revealed at that moment gives me the strength and patience to be present.
The next time you say "Amen"—in prayer, in conversation, anywhere—stop and feel the weight of it: you are connecting 99% reality (26) with 1% reality (65) into unity (91). Say it slowly. Say it with intention.
ACT
Today, when someone shares good news or a blessing with you, respond with a full-hearted "Amen." Not automatic, not polite—but as a conscious act of switching on the power. Be the switch.
SHARE
Share the numerology of Amen (26 + 65 = 91) with one person today. Billy showed that this one word unites all religions. Help someone see that the things that connect us are deeper than the things that divide us.

Flying On Our Own
Billy's Words
Keeping our connection to the source of energy and power is the sole responsibility of the individual. The path forward requires shedding emotional attachments and ego. The projects are not what the Centre is about. The projects are only a means to an end. The project is not the goal. The goal is learning to let go. Inner growth and pain by individuals is the engine that drives more Zohars out into the world. When students genuinely master independent connection to the Light, they naturally remain loyal to teachers through authentic spiritual bonds, not external pressure.
Why This Matters
This post is a masterclass in spiritual maturity. Billy challenged students to stop being spiritual consumers and become independent practitioners. His message that "the project is not the goal—the goal is learning to let go" applies far beyond Kabbalah to every area of life.
Marianne's Reflection
This lesson of 'learning to let go' has become my number one practice these days. In every respect. I am forced to let go of my Beloved in this physical world. The hardest thing to do is reconcile the fact that the world is trying to tell me that he is no longer here, yet inside my heart and soul I know that this is not true. He is here. I feel him.
Where in your spiritual life are you still "dependent"—on a teacher, a center, a book, a community—instead of doing your own inner work? Billy said the project is not the goal; letting go is the goal. What are you holding onto?
ACT
Today, do your spiritual practice completely alone. No group, no teacher, no app. Sit with yourself, confront your ego by yourself, and connect to the Light on your own. This is what "flying on your own" feels like.

Catastrophes and Disasters
Billy's Words
One week before 9/11, Kabbalist Rav Berg asked: "What is a catastrophe?" He explained that when 500,000 people die annually from smoking, society doesn't call this a catastrophe. But when deaths occur simultaneously in one location, we label it a catastrophe. The dark force operates through separation of time and space. By spreading suffering across years and geography, people fail to recognize the magnitude of disaster occurring daily. Individual negative actions of ego accumulate and build collective destructive forces. Small daily choices—acts of kindness versus selfishness—either strengthen light or darkness globally.
Why This Matters
Billy shared Rav Berg's pre-9/11 teaching that reframes how we see suffering. The insight that evil works by separating tragedies across time and space so we never see the full picture is one of the most mind-expanding concepts Billy ever shared.
Marianne's Reflection
This is beautiful. If that is the way the negative force behaves, then in equal measure, that is the way the positive nature of the Light must behave. That is pure physics. Meaning it doesn't become daunting, but rather absolutely doable, to perform small positive actions, that will build a wall of Light, protection and love, not just for us personally, but for the world as a whole.
Rav Berg asked: "What is a catastrophe?" 500,000 die from smoking every year and we don't call it catastrophic. Write down the "slow catastrophes" in your own life—the daily ego acts that accumulate silently.
ACT
Today, connect one of your small daily choices to its larger impact. Before you gossip, snap at someone, or choose selfishness—pause and ask: "If everyone on earth made this same choice right now, what world would we create?"

Healing Power of Kabbalah
Billy's Words
It is not the foods we eat. It is not our diet. Those are merely the WEAPONS used by the negative forces. The Zohar understood heart disease mechanisms centuries before modern medicine. Negative emotions like anger and ego manifest in the liver, producing impure fats that clog arteries—both physically and metaphorically in relationships and business. Behavior toward others affects physical, emotional, and financial health. Personal accountability and a broken spirit are prerequisites for healing.
Why This Matters
Billy was passionate about the connection between spiritual health and physical health. This post challenged the entire wellness industry by pointing to behavior and consciousness as the true root of disease—a radical but empowering perspective.
Marianne's Reflection
This is so profound. It is the playbook on how to live a life free of illness. Be accountable for our actions that hurt people. Even more so, take responsibility even when we don't see how we have done something to hurt another. And strive to treat all people with human dignity. You don't have to love everyone, for this method to work. But you do have to treat all humankind with human dignity.
Billy said illness comes from behavior, not just biology. Without judgment, ask yourself: what negative emotion—anger, resentment, jealousy—am I carrying in my body right now? Where do you physically feel it?
ACT
Choose one relationship where you've been withholding forgiveness or harboring resentment. Take a step toward healing it today—a call, a message, a prayer. Billy taught that relational healing creates physical healing.

Immortality — Really?
Billy's Words
Atoms are the one part of the Universe that live forever. Hydrogen in water exceeds 13 billion years old. Death occurs because space breaks the bonds between atoms, causing physical forms to disintegrate. This "space" represents ego consciousness—selfishness that creates separation between people and disrupts atomic cohesion. Consciousness is fundamental, not matter derivative. Transformation requires replacing ego-driven consciousness with connection and caring for others. By building genuine relationships and eliminating self-interest, humans can keep atoms bonded and achieve biological immortality.
Why This Matters
Billy's teaching on immortality was not metaphorical—he meant it literally. This post beautifully bridges quantum physics and Kabbalah to explain that the space between atoms mirrors the space between people. Heal relationships, heal the body. This was core Billy.
Marianne's Reflection
Immortality. That's it! End of the illusion of death! Once again, the method to obtain immortality in our lifetime. Nothing more needs to be said.

Why the Zohar?
Billy's Words
The Zohar is a manifestation of the "OR GANUZ"—the Hidden Light. This ancient light represents immortality, paradise, and perfection concealed since creation. The Vilna Gaon declared: "The essence of the Redemption depends upon learning Kabbalah." Isaac Luria said God finds no greater pleasure than when people study Kabbalah. The study of Zohar purifies the soul regardless of comprehension level, offering spiritual correction even when the reader doesn't fully understand the text.
Why This Matters
This post was Billy's love letter to the Zohar—the text he devoted his life to sharing. His insistence that scanning the Zohar transforms you even without intellectual understanding removed every barrier to entry. He made the most mysterious text in history accessible to anyone willing to open it.
Marianne's Reflection
The fact that 'God' has enabled us to have the Zohar- a book of pure Light, is an example of the endless mercy of 'God' or 'Light' or 'Source'. Everyone, no matter what religion, or belief or age can have access to this Light, to this enormous power. Billy and I connected all 4 of our children, to the zohar, from birth. It remained in their cribs, in their strollers, in their backpacks, and even today, in their cars and on their horses. LOL. More important than that, Billy shared the secrets from the Zohar at very early ages, since they were old enough to speak. And even younger, he would play games that incorporated these teachings.
Have you been avoiding the Zohar because you think you "won't understand it"? Billy said it purifies the soul regardless of comprehension. What other blessings in your life are you blocking because you don't feel "ready"?

Jesus, the Kabbalist
Billy's Words
Jesus was a Kabbalist who came to teach the world through secret wisdom. Jesus, along with other Jewish sages like Rabbi Akiva and Rabbi Ishmael, were killed to suppress knowledge of Kabbalah. The Zohar—meaning "radiance"—contains all wisdom embedded in God's four-letter name. Paul encountered this mystical light during his Damascus Road vision. Kabbalah is humanity's path to redemption and protection against forces opposing divine truth and human freedom.
Why This Matters
Billy was fearless in bridging Kabbalah and Christianity—a topic that made many people uncomfortable on both sides. He lectured at NASA, churches, and synagogues on this connection. This post represents decades of research and his conviction that Kabbalah belongs to ALL humanity, not just one religion.
Marianne's Reflection
Once again, these teachings belong to the world...to every human being, even as young as a 6 year old child. Billy's insights and teachings were his attempt to build bridges between all faiths. Foremost, we are all ONE.

Sound of Creation
Billy's Words
Let there be sound! Science is finally catching up to Kabbalah. Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai taught that the Ten Commandments are not literal "commandments" but ten utterances and sounds that created the physical universe. New Scientist reports that sound waves that rang out in the early universe sculpted its structure. Specific Hebrew sound vibrations for words like "galaxy," "star," "planet" are not merely descriptive but are creative forces bringing these entities into existence. When you meditate upon the Zohar, you know with certainty that you are tapping the vibrations of pure creation. All you need to do is triumph over the doubt.
Why This Matters
Billy loved showing how science validates Kabbalah. This post connects modern cosmology to ancient Hebrew wisdom in a way that makes the hair on your arms stand up. His closing line about triumphing over doubt is a mantra for life.
Marianne's Reflection
Billy said this perfectly (I wouldn't expect less from him LOL). On a more basic level, do you ever wonder why people love music. Whether it be classical, pop, country, hard rock or sounds like the crashing of the waves on a silent beach or white noise or brown noise and all the other sounds we hear on this earth? All these variations evoke an emotional response. Music and sound connects us to this endless source.
Billy said Hebrew letters are not descriptions of reality—they are the sounds that CREATED reality. Spend 5 minutes in silence today and then ask: what sounds, words, and vibrations am I putting into my world? Are they creative or destructive?
ACT
Listen to a recording of the 72 Names of God or a Zohar reading today. Close your eyes. Don't translate—just feel the vibration. Billy said you're tapping the sounds of pure creation. Let them work on you.

The Metaverse and the Zohar
Billy's Words
VR and the Metaverse are merely reflections, shadows, material manifestations of what is happening in the true evolution of our world and human consciousness, according to the wisdom of Zohar. A perfected reality governed by perfected human consciousness represents our ultimate destiny. We need interfaces because we don't believe thoughts alone manipulate reality. The Metaverse is really a Mirrorverse, a mirror of the true reality hidden within human consciousness and this physical world, just waiting for the ego to be transformed and repositioned under the rulership of our soul.
Why This Matters
One of Billy's last blog posts, this showed his ability to take the most current technology trend and decode it through Kabbalistic wisdom. He saw the Metaverse not as innovation but as a mirror reflecting humanity's deep hunger for the true 99% reality that Kabbalah reveals.
Marianne's Reflection
Interestingly, David and I are continuing Billy's legacy by transforming his Zohar-based teachings into stories, programs, and films for children. Through cutting-edge animation, AI, and digital media, we are making deep spiritual wisdom accessible, relatable, and alive for a new generation.
How much time do you spend in virtual worlds—social media, streaming, gaming—seeking the pleasure and connection that Billy said already exists in the 99% reality? Write down what you're truly searching for behind the screen.
ACT
Take a 2-hour break from all screens today. Sit with the discomfort. Billy said we use physical interfaces because we don't believe our thoughts alone can shape reality. Practice believing—even for two hours.

Tell someone about Billy's "Mirrorverse" concept: that the Metaverse mirrors a true hidden reality waiting for us to access it through consciousness, not technology. Ask them what they think the "true reality" looks like.

How Darkness Operates, Trump and Today's Media
Billy's Words
The media is the gateway of information-flow into this world. Darkness "crouches at the door"—at entry points where it can infect everything downstream, like poisoning a seed affects the entire tree. BOTH sides of the media are corrupt. This isn't about ideology but how the Adversary corrupts people across all lines by awakening ego and selfish desires. The human ego is the force that makes us procrastinate, eat unhealthy food, or act reactively despite knowing better. People fall prey unknowingly because they don't understand this force's existence.
Why This Matters
Billy refused to take political sides because he understood the deeper game. This post cuts through partisan noise to reveal the real battle—not left vs. right, but ego vs. soul. His refusal to choose a political team while naming the universal enemy (ego) was brave and clarifying.
Marianne's Reflection
During such a difficult time in this world, where there is such a distinct and enormous political divide among humanity, Billy's post 'outs' the game that Satan is playing with us. We need to get back to the saying, " we agree to disagree. And I respect and love you no matter what." All the rest of the noise is the opponent's voice. And we can only lose if we listen to it.
Billy said both sides of every argument are corrupted by ego. Where in your life are you convinced you're "on the right side"? Challenge yourself: is your position driven by truth-seeking or by ego wanting to be right?
ACT
Today, consume one piece of media from a perspective you normally dismiss. Don't agree with it—just notice the ego reaction it triggers. Billy said the Adversary "crouches at the door" of information. Watch the door.
SHARE
The next time a political or divisive topic arises in conversation, try Billy's approach: name the ego at play on BOTH sides without choosing a team. Shift the conversation from "who's right" to "where's the ego."

The Signs of Immortality
Billy's Words
Science now says there's nothing that would stop people intrinsically from living thousands of years. Researchers have found methods to reverse aging by targeting telomeres—DNA strands at chromosome ends. The Zohar teaches that when "the moon shines as bright as the sun"—transforming the desire to receive into a will to share—biological immortality arrives. Atoms are inherently immortal, but molecular bonds weaken with aging. Removing ego-created conflict between people strengthens atomic bonds, preventing deterioration. Each person represents a spiritual soldier capable of advancing global transformation through ego transcendence.
Why This Matters
Billy saw scientific breakthroughs as spiritual confirmations. This post connects telomere research to Kabbalistic prophecy, showing that immortality isn't fantasy—it's destiny. His metaphor of the moon equaling the sun (receiving becoming sharing) is one of the most beautiful in Kabbalah.
Marianne's Reflection
When Billy first passed, I received numerous articles from people all over the world, stating that immortality will be here by the year 2030. As I see how quickly this world is moving from the 3 dimensional world, to the 4th and 5th dimensional world, these articles seem to be touching on this occurrence. I believe this is happening because more people are shedding light on their own egos and doing the work to rid this world of negativity. Wouldn't it be nice if we could develop a facial cream with this ingredient....to remove all our stubborn wrinkles?!
Billy said "the moon shining as bright as the sun" means transforming receiving into sharing. In your closest relationship, where are you still taking more than giving? Be brutally honest.
ACT
Make today a "moon equals sun" day: every time you want to receive something (attention, credit, comfort), flip it into sharing. Give the attention, give the credit, give the comfort. Track how many flips you make.

Rebirth of the Israelite
Billy's Words
An Israelite emerges through spiritual transformation. Jacob's name change to Israel reveals a numerological truth: Jacob (182) + Satan (359) = Israel (541). Conquering one's ego enables this transformation. The angel Jacob battles represents humanity's inner selfishness. Overcoming this internal "Satan" through study and personal discipline defines true spiritual identity. When people embrace their identity as true Israelites through ego-transformation, external enemies will transform as well, creating conditions for global peace.
Why This Matters
Billy redefined spiritual identity not as something inherited but something earned through inner work. This post challenged centuries of religious identity politics by declaring that being an "Israelite" is a spiritual achievement available to anyone willing to wrestle with their ego.
Marianne's Reflection
Perhaps this post was a true foreshadowing of what exists in the world today. Based on the definition of a true Israelite, when one addresses his own ego with the intent to call it out and crush it, by definition, it makes them a true Israelite. It is based solely on one's spiritual work. And we are all well aware of the conflicts happening right now. As we do our own internal work of destroying our destructive ego, we will see this play out in the world wars-to the benefit of all humanity.
Billy redefined spiritual identity as something earned, not inherited. Regardless of your religion or background, ask yourself: am I actively wrestling with my ego, or am I coasting on the identity I was born into?
ACT
Jacob wrestled all night. Today, choose one ego pattern you've been avoiding and "wrestle" with it head-on. Don't look away. Don't rationalize it. Sit with it until you understand its grip on you.

Spilling the Beans
Billy's Words
Throughout history, revered Kabbalists—Moses De Leon, Isaac Luria, Moses Chaim Luzzatto, Yehuda Ashlag—were condemned during their lifetimes but revered after death. The only enemy of mankind is the human ego, which covets, envies, seethes anger, and wages war. Kabbalah's core teaching—"Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself"—threatens institutional power structures, generating predictable opposition from those unwilling to surrender ego-driven authority. I learned from Rav Berg to suppress reactive anger toward critics, recognizing that fighting negativity with negativity strengthens destructive forces rather than advancing spiritual truth.
Why This Matters
Billy spent his entire career defending the Kabbalah Centre against attacks. This post reveals the pattern: every great Kabbalist was persecuted in their lifetime. It's both a historical lesson and a personal manifesto—Billy's declaration that truth will outlast its critics.
Marianne's Reflection
One quick story comes to mind. About 30 years ago, the Rav had visited Billy at our company office. They sat down to write a letter to an individual who was slandering the Kabbalah Centre. This process took approximately 4 hours, while the Rav meticulously chose every word as he dictated to Billy, who in turn wrote it on his computer. The Rav would use specific words, then remove a sentence, then add an exclamation mark. Every move was with intent. After 4 hours, the Rav said we have completed it. And then....the Rav instructed Billy to erase it. Throw it out. We have completed our process! What a lesson- on so many levels. The Rav always said that if you mess with a 'pig' you will get dirty. And on another level, by putting the words into the cosmos, the work has been done. The Light would take care of the rest. Which it did! **FACEBOOK-EXCLUSIVE POSTS** *The following 5 posts were shared exclusively on Billy's Facebook page* [facebook.com/billyphillips91]{.underline}

Isaac Newton and Kabbalah
Billy's Words
ISAAC NEWTON AND KABBALAH After some 300 years of being hidden from public, Newton's private manuscripts were finally released. And what did they reveal? Isaac Newton devoted much of his private life to studying Kabbalah and the Zohar. Newton had his own copy of the Zohar. He studied Hebrew so he could read the ancient Kabbalistic texts in their original language. The greatest scientific mind in history knew that the Zohar contained the secrets of the universe—the very secrets he spent his life uncovering through mathematics and physics. For 300 years, the establishment hid this from us. Why? Because if the world knew that Newton's genius was fueled by Kabbalah, it would change everything we think we know about science, religion, and the nature of reality.
Why This Matters
This Facebook post is quintessential Billy—revealing what the establishment hides. The fact that Newton studied the Zohar validates everything Billy taught about the connection between science and Kabbalah. Billy loved finding these hidden gems that proved the ancient Kabbalists knew the secrets of the universe long before modern science.
Marianne's Reflection
I travelled with Billy to NASA- actually twice, in order for him to give a lecture on Science and Kabbalah. He of course shared Newton's example of his connection to the Zohar. After the lecture, there was a question and answer period, where one of the scientists spoke and stated that Billy was incorrect about one of his points. Billy, clearly knew that the Zohar cannot contain any errors of any kind so he attempted to prove the scientist wrong, who in turn eventually sat down, but would not admit he was wrong. The following day Billy received a call from this NASA scientist who apologized and admitted that he checked with numerous colleagues, and Billy was in fact correct.
Newton studied the Zohar in secret for years. What spiritual truth are YOU hiding from the world because it doesn't fit your public image? Write down the spiritual insight you've been keeping to yourself.

Follow Newton's example: dedicate 30 minutes today to studying something outside your comfort zone. Pick up the Zohar, read a Kabbalah article, or explore a teaching that challenges your current worldview.

The Zohar Miracle in the ER
Billy's Words
THE ZOHAR MIRACLE IN THE ER Over twenty years ago, my dear friend and Harvard-trained cardiologist Dr. Artur Spokojny shared a story about how the Zohar generated a stunning miracle in the emergency room. A patient was dying. All medical interventions had failed. Dr. Spokojny, who had been studying Kabbalah, placed a Zohar by the patient's bedside. What happened next defied everything medical science says is possible. The Zohar is not just a book of wisdom—it is a physical instrument of Light. When the Zohar is present, the energy of healing and miracles becomes accessible. This isn't metaphor. This isn't poetry. This is the technology of the soul meeting the technology of medicine.
Why This Matters
Billy shared this story repeatedly because it proved what he believed most deeply: the Zohar is not philosophy—it's technology. Having a Harvard-trained cardiologist verify a Zohar miracle gave Billy the kind of evidence he loved: where the spiritual world meets the physical world in undeniable ways.
Marianne's Reflection
I used this 'technology', the Zohar, early on when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter, Arielle. I was already 9 months pregnant and the doctor informed me that she was a breech baby. He mentioned that we would need to do a C-section, due to the fact that my 3 previous babies were all 9 pounds, 6 ounces....very large. And based on this history, there was no way I could deliver such a large baby, breech. That evening I scanned a section of the Zohar that the Rav instructed me to, and I felt my stomach move intensely, in a wave-like motion....it looked like the Exorcist! The next doctor's appointment revealed that this baby had in fact turned! The doctor's words, "This is a miracle!"
Billy said the Zohar is not just a book—it's a physical instrument of Light. Where do you keep your Zohar? Is it collecting dust on a shelf, or is it active in your daily life? What would change if you treated it as technology?
ACT
Place a Zohar somewhere unexpected today—by your bed, in your car, at your desk. Billy and Dr. Spokojny demonstrated that its mere presence generates healing energy. Let it work.

The Messiah and the Seventh Millennium
Billy's Words
THE MESSIAH AND SEVENTH MILLENNIUM The great Kabbalist Nachmanides, whose family also produced another legendary Kabbalist—the Ramban—taught that human history spans seven millennia, mirroring the seven days of creation. We are now deep into the sixth millennium. The Zohar says that in the sixth millennium, the gates of wisdom will open wide, both above and below. This is why we see an explosion of both technology and spiritual seeking in our time. The seventh millennium represents the Messianic age—not a single person arriving on a white donkey, but a state of consciousness where humanity collectively transcends ego and death itself is abolished. The Messiah is not coming TO us. The Messiah is coming THROUGH us—through our transformation.
Why This Matters
Billy rejected passive messianic waiting. This Facebook post captures his revolutionary teaching that WE are the ones who bring the Messiah through our own inner work. The idea that we are living in the prophesied "sixth millennium" when wisdom floods the world gave urgency to everything Billy taught.
Marianne's Reflection
It's actually quite comforting, knowing that we are in control of bringing peace and love to this world, for all eternity- in other words, the arrival of the Messiah. Rather than sitting and waiting for life to happen to me, I have begun to put consciousness into my actions- to voice the purpose in my head and to behave outside of my comfort zone. All this with the intent to bring the end of pain and suffering...and selfishly, to join the upper and lower worlds so I can once again see my Beloved.
Billy said the Messiah comes THROUGH us, not TO us. What is YOUR role in bringing more Light into this world? Write down three specific ways your personal transformation could ripple outward.

Michio Kaku on the Zohar and Physics
Billy's Words
I met with Physicist Michio Kaku and showed him quotes from the Zohar. The Zohar said the earth was round, 1500 years before Columbus. The Zohar described a Big Bang creation of the universe twenty centuries before modern physics. The Zohar said time was relative and an illusion two thousand years before Einstein. It said white light contains all the colors of the spectrum 15 centuries before Isaac Newton. The Zohar described black holes and a ten dimensional universe twenty centuries before superstring theory. I read passages of the Zohar to Michio Kaku. He was "dazzled." He cited the Zohar and confirmed its correlation with his understanding of Super String Theory. The Zohar resolves all the paradoxes of physics currently haunting physicists. This is not religion. This is the science of consciousness.
Why This Matters
Billy's interview with Michio Kaku was a crowning achievement—one of the world's most famous physicists confirming what Billy had been saying for decades. This Facebook video went viral because it validated the Zohar as a scientific text, not just a spiritual one. Billy was grinning ear to ear when he shared this.
Marianne's Reflection
In this physical world, this experience was an example of Billy's power and importance. However, remembering that this was the effect, not the cause. In other words, because of Billy's internal hard work and relentless mission of crushing his own ego, he was chosen to be the channel between Science and Kabbalah. Thus, a meeting with a world renowned physicist. Touting my own ego.....I was blessed to be there during the meeting and filming of Mr. Kaku. He was a very nice man - a gentle soul.
The Zohar described the Big Bang, relativity, and ten dimensions centuries before modern science. What does this tell you about the nature of wisdom itself? Reflect on what you've been dismissing as "ancient" or "outdated."

Jesus the Fish — The Zohar's Hidden Code
Billy's Words
JESUS THE FISH "I am a son of a great and worthy fish." —Yenuka, the son of Kabbalist Rav Hamnuna Saba, in the Zohar The early Christians used the fish symbol (Ichthys) as their secret sign. But why a fish? The Zohar holds the answer that has been hidden for 2000 years. In the Zohar, the Yenuka—a child prodigy born to a great Kabbalist—calls himself "a son of a great fish." The fish in Kabbalah represents one who is immune to the Evil Eye, immune to the forces of negativity. A fish lives beneath the water, unseen, protected. Jesus was a Kabbalist. The fish symbol was not random—it was Kabbalistic code. This is the connection between the Zohar's Yenuka and the historical Jesus that the establishment has hidden from you for two millennia.
Why This Matters
This post represents decades of Billy's research into the Kabbalah-Jesus connection. It's the kind of revelation that made people's jaws drop—connecting the most universal Christian symbol (the fish) to an obscure Zohar passage. Billy lived for these moments of decoding, and this post shows why he was one of the most original thinkers in the Kabbalah world.
Marianne's Reflection
When Billy would come across these discoveries, he was so enlightened and excited, that he would literally jump up and down - shouting YES! YES! You are not gonna frickin believe this!
Billy decoded the fish symbol as Kabbalistic protection—living "beneath the water, unseen, protected." Where in your life are you seeking external validation instead of doing your spiritual work quietly, like a fish beneath the surface?
ACT
Practice being a "fish" today: do your good deeds beneath the surface. Don't post about it, don't tell anyone, don't seek the "Eye." Billy taught that true spiritual protection comes from being unseen.

The Path to Immortality — Why Atoms Never Die, but We Do
Billy's Words
Einstein and all physicists know that atoms never die. Our atoms are immortal. They were created over 13 billion years ago in the Big Bang — and they’re still brand spanking new.
So if atoms never die, why do we die? If we’re made of atoms, we’re made of immortality.
Consider Lego. Suppose we build a man out of Lego pieces, piece by piece. Then we take him apart, piece by piece, until he no longer exists. Lego man is now dead and gone — but the Lego pieces are still here. It was the space between the pieces that caused him to disappear.
Lego is a metaphor for the atom. The atom is immortal. But the forms, the structures the atoms create — they are not. There is a force, a power, an entity that creates the illusion of death. Its name is space.
Space is an actual force that slowly breaks the bonds between every atom in the human body. Atoms stop bonding. The body is a puzzle — and when space gets between the pieces, they come apart. That’s called aging. But the puzzle pieces themselves remain immortal. “There was no death. There was only space,” says the Kabbalist.
How does space infiltrate our lives? Through our consciousness. Every time we are reactive — anger, jealousy, worry, pessimism — we inject the force of space into our body and into our lives. Someone yells at me, I get upset. That person is the cause. My being upset is the effect. Consciousness in my mind creates space in my body. I grow older. I decay. The puzzle jumbles.
So how do we eradicate space? There’s only one move. Not 50 billion moves. One.
We did not come to this world to make our dreams come true. That’s the biggest hoax of all. We came to this world to make other people’s dreams come true. And they are here to make our dreams come true. Because I carry the solution to somebody else’s problem, and somebody else is carrying around the solution I need. When I share mine with them, I become the cause of their happiness. When they share theirs with me, they become the cause of mine. And now — we are no longer an effect. We become identical to the Creator, who is the cause of all causes.
We’re all interconnected like a puzzle, filling each other’s needs.
Love thy neighbor is not a moral. Love thy neighbor is not an ethic. It’s technology for repairing the world.
Why This Matters
This may be the most complete summary of Billy’s entire life’s work in a single teaching. Physics meets Kabbalah meets psychology meets the meaning of life — all reduced to a single actionable insight: every reactive moment is literally aging you, and every proactive act of sharing is literally reassembling the puzzle of paradise. Billy turned “love thy neighbor” from a feel-good platitude into a cellular, atomic, metaphysical technology. He is showing us, in his own voice, exactly how to live.
Marianne's Reflection
Billy lived this teaching more than he taught it. The way he became the cause of so many people’s happiness — strangers, students, family — was how he removed space from the world. This is what I want his legacy to be.
Identify one recurring situation in your life where you are being the effect — someone or something triggers you, and you react. Now reframe it: what would being the cause look like in that same situation? Not reacting, but choosing. Not answering anger with anger, but answering it with stillness. Write one sentence about what that shift would change.
ACT
Pick one person in your life today — a family member, a colleague, a stranger — and ask yourself: What solution am I carrying that they need? It could be a skill, an introduction, a kind word, a forgotten promise, an apology. Then deliver it. Before the day ends. Be the cause of a moment of their happiness.
SHARE
Post this teaching — or the single sentence “Love thy neighbor is not a moral. It’s technology for repairing the world.” — and add your own reflection: which relationship in your life has the most space right now, and what will you do this week to eradicate it?
